I have heard people joke about $2 cotton balls and $4 asperine on their hospital bill. The best approach is one that allow us to shop for health care the way we shop for most other items. Use the Major Medical concept. We pay for all cost up to a given maximun say $10,000 per year per family. Combine this with a health savings account and you eleminate about 90% of claims and thus 90% of paper work. You go to the MD and you pay as you go. What you dont use you save and at retirement you get back what you didnt use</description>
